Halloween is, without a doubt, the absolute best season of the year. There is a delicious, cozy thrill that takes over when autumn arrives: crisp evening breezes, the scent of burning wood, and the quiet joy of lighting candles to welcome the playful spirits of the season.
When I was making "ANOTHER WITCH'S BREW" in my studio, I was dreaming of an ancient apothecary tucked deep in an enchanted forest. Every witch needs a sacred vessel to guard her most powerful secrets: love charms, midnight remedies, sweet elixirs, and perhaps a drop of potent poison meant only for playful spells.
This piece is 100% handmade and hand-sculpted by me, Idania Salcido, the artist behind Danita Art. I hand-built the bottle from rich, speckled stoneware clay, hand-carved the words "Witch's brew" across the front, and fired it in my old-school electric kiln.
The bottle features a faceted body and a slender, fluted neck with castle-like notches along the rim. It is finished in an earthy amber-moss glaze that pools warmly over the textured clay.
Resting snugly in the neck is a removable, hand-sculpted witch stopper. Her sweet porcelain-toned face carries bright rosy cheeks and dark eyes beneath a glossy, pointed black witch hat. You can keep her tucked inside to guard your potion, or set her right beside the jar on your altar.
