I got this vintage book at a thirty store. I took my color pencils and she appeared. Mother nature came to me in the cover of an old book.
You know, I love taking old thing nobody wants any more. I love them back to beauty with Art. They get a new lease in life, a new purpose. Like the vintage book I picked at a second hand store.
I saw the potential in it's battered cover, but I did not know what I wanted, so I let art take over. I drew on it, and then a face appeared. Beautiful green eyes and red hair. Then the flowers, then the washi tape around it, and an altered book was born.
It measures 5 1/2 x 7 3/4 x 1/2 Inches (14 x 20 x 2 cm), the pages are glued shot so you can use it as a decorative item. You can place it on a table, a shelf or your desk. It's an original artwork by Danita. A one of a kind piece that once it's gone, cannot be repeated.
