I have a deep, unhealthy obsession with woodlands, forests and mushrooms. Every time that I go to the forest, I look for mushrooms and I imagine that they are lovely fairy girls in hats and capes that go into hiding as soon as I spot them.
To my human eyes, they are just mushrooms but once I am not looking, they go back to their original form and go along with their fairy lives.
This series of original watercolors portraits by me, Idania Salcido, the artist behind Danita Art, depicts a group of faeries, or maybe girls, playing as mushrooms, with their caps as hats, my signature beautiful and expressive eyes, and capes as their clothes.
They are ready to be framed as soon as they arrive!
