I love to channel here strong character and her unending love for Diego, using delicate details on her dresses and things she holds, like a locket with Diego's face in this painting.
Frida has a ghostlike quality here, ethereal and eternal, hiding in the vaporous shapes of the watercolor wash as it blends with the hard lines of red pencil I used to draw her.
