I love my culture. Mexico has an incredibly rich tradition of folk art where nature is sacred and the designs of animals, plants and mother nature are intertwined with everyday items like clothes and decorations.
I got inspiration from the Otomi folk art to let Frida become one with Nature on this beautiful painting. A plant grows on her hands and neck, and it becomes part of the design in her hair that represents nature at it's fullest. Birds, Rabbits, Plants and flowers bloom in bright colors as nature and the universe unravel and she becomes one with nature.
