Doll making is my passion, and whenever I have time and inspiration, I start creating fabric art dolls. This time, simplicity was the key, so I created a set of very simple bodies and challenged myself to dress them in simple clothes made out of hand dyed lace, ribbon and felted wool.
Everything was going to be simple, except their faces. I loaded them with a lot of expression on their eyes, beautiful facial features with color pencils and cute little mouths.
They reminded me of the simple times of my childhood, where I had very little to work with and I used my imagination to get lost in a world of my own making.
I really hope these dolls take you back to your childhood years and remind you the beauty of simplicity when you look at them, they did it for me, and I loved that feeling.
