I have always believed our creative spaces and living rituals deserve a touch of magic, especially the quiet, tender kind that comes with embracing your gentle side and wearing your feelings honestly.
When I was making "Rosesong" in my studio, I was thinking about those moments when words feel too loud, and a soft glance says everything. With her painted rosy cheeks and wide, observant eyes, she holds a quiet innocence and an open, honest heart. She doesn’t rush or demand attention; instead, she invites you to slow down, take a breath, and find comfort in gentle company.
This one-of-a-kind art vessel is completely hand-built and sculpted by me in rich clay, then fired in my old-school electric kiln. Her face features delicate hand-painted details with soft watercolor-like blushes, a tiny sculpted nose, and fine antique crazing running through the warm cream glaze. A stamped scalloped border frames the base, while a flowing, wavy sculptural handle curves along the side, making it a tactile joy to touch and hold.
Inside, the vessel opens into a beautiful pool of luminous raspberry and deep orchid glazes, creating a warm, vibrant contrast against the soft ivory exterior.
With its cozy, wide shape, this vessel is perfectly designed to hold a delicious cup of coffee, fresh garden cuttings, a small bunch of dried lavender, favorite studio pens and brushes, or simply sit on your desk, nightstand, or bookshelf as a sweet and calming presence in your home.
