Slowly, and without realizing, I became a cat lady. I liked and painted them, but I definitely was not a cat person... until I got a cat. Thanks to my daughter, we got our first cat, and my admiration for their sleek figures, their proud demeanor and their untamable nature grew until they won me over. Our foyer became a foster home for homeless cats, where the neighbourhood kitties find a place with water, food and place to sleep in exchange for pets and their spiritual protection, and now I scream "WE DON'T HAVE ONE IN THAT COLOR!" when I see a cute stray cat in the street.
