THE SKULL & CROSSBONES POISON BOTTLE
Halloween is, without a doubt, the absolute best season of the year. There is a cozy, mysterious atmosphere that settles into October that I simply adore: cold autumn nights, flickering candles casting playful shadows across the walls, and the nostalgic thrill of vintage ghost stories and gothic mysteries.

When I was making "THE POISONER'S APOTHECARY" in my studio, I wanted to capture the look of an ancient apothecary flask that has spent centuries hidden behind dusty grimoires and spell books. Every witch's lair needs a true warning bottle to guard mysterious elixirs, love potions, and dangerous concoctions meant only for the bravest of souls.

This piece is 100% handmade and hand-sculpted by me, Idania Salcido, the artist behind Danita Art. I built the flask from rich, speckled stoneware clay and intricately carved the word "POISON" around the neck, paired with deeply etched crossed bones across the front body.

After firing in my old-school electric kiln, it was finished in an earthy amber and mossy gloss glaze that pools into the hand-carved letters and cracks, giving it an authentic weathered patina.

Resting inside the bottle neck is a removable, sculpted ceramic skull stopper. Crafted from raw speckled clay with painted dark eye sockets and vertical tooth details, the skull can sit securely inside to seal your draught, or stand proudly beside the bottle on your shelf.

While this bottle is an absolute showstopper for your Halloween mantel, altar, or potion station, it is designed to stay out in your home all year long. Keep it on your bookshelf, curiosity cabinet, or studio desk to hold dried herbs and small treasures, bringing a joyful touch of vintage spooky magic to your day every time you look at it.
