When I was making "The Secret Blossom" in my studio, I was dreaming up a quiet little meadow spirit who carries her thoughts like a flower in full bloom. She sits comfortably on the earth with her hands resting gently in her lap and her little feet tucked behind her, completely unbothered by the rush of the outside world. She is a reminder that growing into who you are is not a race, it is a quiet, patient unfolding of your own beauty and strength.
This one-of-a-kind art vessel is hand-built and sculpted by me in rich clay, then fired in my old-school electric kiln. Her delicate porcelain face carries soft rosy cheeks and an innocent, contemplative expression, framed by sunshine-yellow hair and subtle crazing details.
Resting on her head is a large, sculpted plum blossom that opens wide into the hollow vessel itself, echoed by a matching ruffled petal collar melting softly over her shoulders and warm, honey-toned dress.
